Very upset to see that employees are taking videos of residents being taken care of by nurses and posting them on snap chat so everyone is able to see it. I am just saying, if this was one of my grandparents i would be VERY VERY upset about it.

Bad . Homestead is the worst place in Lincoln. My dad was in there after hip surgery they forced him to sit in his wheel chair ,instead of getting in bed to stretch out his leg and hip. They lost the legs for his wheel chair . The staff would rather sit in cars smoking for almost 45 minutes instead of looking after patients. The staff are rude and I had to talk to them on many different occasions. Finally I just pulled my dad out because I was afraid they would kill him. SO THINK TWICE ABOUT LETTING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS GO TO THIS FACILITY .also the rehab they say happens never does .they only took my dad to rehab once or twice very sad how no one here at homestead seems to care. I ALSO FILLED A COMPLAINT WITH SOCIAL SECURITY TO NOT PAY FOR TREHAB THAT NEVER HAPPENS THIS PLACE HOMESTEAD SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND INVESTIGATED BY HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

If I could give ZERO stars I would. They should be ashamed of themselves. Examples? 1) a resident was left in the clothes they arrived in at transfer for at least 2 days 2) when the type of rehab therapy being provided for the same resident was asked about the charge nurse said to ask the Administration who said to ask case management who said to ask the PT and OT department who never called back. No one has ever seen the resident actually in therapy. 3) Residents are talked about and berated by the staff to other staff members in front of other residents... for things like asking for no mayo on their sandwiches 4) The overnight supervisor was unable to provide the last names or credentials of two of her staff members involved in an incident regarding allegedly threatening to refuse to serve a meal to a resident. 5) a medication aide was confused by the term "PRN" when asked about how often a resident was taking Tylenol for pain. This all happened in less than a week's time. Please, do NOT trust them to care for your loved one without taking a very thorough look at the entire organization. It seems that for now the administration right on down to the staff directly responsible for patient care have an uncaring, negligent, unprofessional attitude that has resulted in a report being made to Adult Protective Services.

Father was there for rehab, as he needed an IV for an extended period of time. They did not have an IV stand and had to hang the IV from a hanger & curtain rod. Nightly meds were to be administered at 7pm and didn't arrive until 3am. Pain meds that were to be on hand & that were requested at 7am did not get ordered due to a clerical error the night before, and he waited 11 hours to receive the meds. No consideration was given to the comfort of the patient whatsoever. We removed him from their care after 4 days and moved him to a different facility.
