The owner (Eli Khalil) is a very crooked man! My husband worked for him as a mechanic and shop foreman for just over a year and quit to pursue other oportunities and Eli refuses to give him his last paycheck. I tried to call and camly work out the situation with my husbands check and got hung up on and told I was not allowed to stop in to get his check. Everytime I think we almost have it he finds something else to hang over our heads. While my husband worked there he was yanked around from a mechanic, to shop manager, to salemans (who got NO commision from the cars he sold). Eli is a very unpredictable person and will fly off his handle at any moment, more than once my husband got "fired" by Eli for doing the right thing then only to be begged to come back the next day. After working out his two weeks because he was seeking new employment he had to get police to get his tools back because was threatened by Eli. I would not reccomend anyone to LAX Auto, to buy a car or seek employment!
