We went to Tanners for dinner before a high school football game. It wasn't very busy so it was a good place for our group to get a table. I want to preface there were good things so my sole reason for not giving more stars is the atmosphere itself. We had a great server and the food and drinks were good. The area, however; is pretty dated and stark looking. It consisted of a bunch of tables in the middle of walls with fat heads. Unfortunately for Tanners, when we left two larger groups walked in and walked back out because the interior didn't make a great impression so they assumed the food wasn't good either. They are pretty new to that building so maybe they will be working on the inside. They do have another location in town in a newer building so maybe the inside is nicer there.
Service was great. Kitchen messed up order fixed promptly. But they need to find a new manager.
Food all tastes like its pulled directly from freezer then fried to death. The decor is solid green walls, no windows and posters in a straight line...similar to a bachelors basement from the 1980's. Ugh
Their cups say. "Not just another bar and grill. We are an approach to life". Don't think so.
70th and A As others have mentioned, this place is bad. Our chicken had a lot of gristle. Vegetables were cold. I put a piece of broccoli in my mouth and immediately spit it out. Servers didn't communicate or work together at all. I could write an essay on this, but they are basically doing everything wrong at this place. It's not going to last long.
We both ordered hamburger. They came with fries. Hamburgers were good. Fries were cold and hard.I asked for sweet tea waitress brought out a glass of tea and 2 packs of sweetener. My husband ordered root beer they brought him out a bottle. The bottle would have only filled a cup to half.And charged 2.78 for 1 bottle.
My tea with refills was 2.58.
Personally I would never go back to Tanners .
