Has great food and a nice atmosphere. Since it is located right next to the mall parking can be a problem at times but still wouldn't be a far walk if the mall is busy. Food and good beer outweighs the parking problem. Every time I have been there the staff has been very good as well.
We reserved ahead for our party of 13; everything was ready for us when we arrived and we were seated promptly. They had a small but quality mixed selection of Stout and IPAs on tap, and despite our large number the drinks came out in a very timely fashion. Altogether we had a great experience, and will likely go back again.
This was my first time to Granite City since they opened their new restaurant. It certainly doesn't disappoint. It's beautifully designed with tasteful decor. We were immediately greeted and sat. Both the hostess and our server were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had their Sunday morning buffet. Delicious variety of food. Everything from pastries, fruit, typical breakfast items such as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. They have an omelet station with prime rib. The hashbrown casserole is delicious and you can't pass up their cinnamon rolls. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was excellent. He introduced himself by name and was very personable. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.
Amazing food. Haven't been here in years (since before it moved) and the food and drinks were outstanding. I was also very impressed with our server who asked if we were celebraring a birthday because she noticed a card that I was opening. So attentive! If you happen to be celebrating a birthday he sure to let your server know because there is a unique and special surprise in store. :)
Food is good, but the service is quite slow. I've gone here a few times for lunch since it's close to my job, and I always find myself rushing to get back within my one hour time frame for lunch. The last time I ate here, the food took 25-30 minutes to come out, and I had ordered a wrap and a salad, so nothing that should take that long to make. Not sure why it took so long. Also,the first time I went I had a free appetizer and decided to try the Kobe beef mini sliders... I was surprisingly unimpressed, it tasted like a very plain hamburger - just the bun,beef, and lettuce. Other than that appetizer, all the food has tasted good, though.
