Weinkle is a horrible doctor , had a clean ankle break completely broke he let me leave his office with nothing for pain! I could barely get him to re wrap my splint! Either he doesn't like Mexicans or he just sucks at his job!

I went here to treat my plantar fasciitis. The doctor decided that I needed to get custom orthotics. The pain was completely gone after a few weeks. After a year and a half my orthotics were worn out and I got fitted for a new pair. Same process and same fitting. However, when I put them in my shoes, something wasn't right. My left foot felt as though there was a lump under my arch. I felt like the orthotic wasn't made correctly. The doctor didn't think this was the issue and just said I needed a different shoe. I was doubtful of this as I was wearing the same style of shoe I had with my past orthotics. Eventually I took it upon myself to shave a little bit of the orthotic off on the arch. It seemed to help and eventually my foot grew accustom to the feel. A year or more later, I had a chronic issue with an ingrown toenail on my big toe. I came in to them to have a small section of it removed so that it wouldn't grow into the skin. I had this done with another foot clinic on my other foot. I had no problems and it was a simple procedure performed completely by the doctor. However, at Capital Foot & Ankle, right away I was concerned the day that I came in to have my toe taken care of. The very young and seemingly inexperienced assistant started coming at me with a needle. I got very nervous as I had no clue that she or any assistant could have the training to properly numb my toe for the procedure. I told myself that it would be fine and she had to have done this before. Boy was I wrong. She poked me in several places to numb me. Then she tested to see if I could feel anything, and I could. So she poked me again, then called for the doctor to come start the procedure. He came in and made sure my toe was numb. It wasn't. So he told her to inject more lidocaine into it, and he walked back to his office. At this point I wasn’t sure what I should do. I just decided to put faith in the fact that they should know what they were doing. She then injected me for a third time. By this point my toe was so full of lidocaine she couldn’t inject it anymore. I looked at it and it was swollen and white. The doctor came back and performed the procedure. When he was done he said a couple words to me and then left for his office again. The assistant then wrapped my toe and gave me some at home care instructions. After a couple of minutes I started to feel nauseated. Something wasn’t right. I ended up puking. It hit me hard and fast. She said “oh you must have been nervous.” Well, I was not in agreement at all with that statement. I had been through this before, and it had been 5 or more minutes since the doctor had finished. So I asked her if having too much lidocaine in my system could have caused it and she didn’t know. She then walked to the doctor’s office to ask if it was possible. He didn’t even come to check on me or talk to me himself. She came back and told me that he said it wasn’t likely and I was just nervous. She sent me on my way and I could barely walk on my foot as it was incredibly numb. I got home, still frustrated and googled about lidocaine side effects. Sure enough, if you get enough in your system, it can cause nausea and vomiting. On top of that my toe was numb for 12hours. I was pissed. Then a few days later it was incredibly infected. I ended up needing antibiotics. Wow. Now focusing back to the second pair of orthoitcs, I began having foot pain again. I was not going to be a fool once again by going back to Capital Foot & Ankle. I went back to the original doctor that had done my first ingrown toenail surgery. I told him of my issue with the orthotics and he knew right away what the problem was. He asked if it felt like I had a roll of quarters under my arch. BINGO! How did he know this? He said something like my tendon wasn’t in the right position when the fitting was done. He also said the way that they do the moldings is not accurate. He uses the original and old fashioned way of making molds by using casting on my feet. I’m very upset that I wasted so much of my time and money going to Capital Foot & Ankle.

The doctors, assistants and front staff and billing are amazing people to work with. I was quite happy to work in a setting that was like family and for providers that were very caring and personable and was devastated when I was asked to leave because I was unable to work Fridays, which had previously been approved. However in the nearly 2 years I was at the clinic we had a turn over rate of nearly 30 employees, which of course made our patients wonder what could be the problem. Some of our patients were used to seeing the same assistant with their doctor. This is not a post to insult or to degrade CFA at all because if I ever, EVER needed anything done this is exactly where I would go, very knowledgeable doctors and assistants, however the office management was handled poorly and unprofessionally on many levels. I feel that there was much favoritism within the office manager and other employees, I believe that in an office managerial position there should be a little more tact and less immature actions and fairness throughout the staff. The high turn over rate had nothing to do with the doctors, or the position, this was continually about the vibe of the office and how uncomfortable we were made to feel. However, I still would go to bat for my previous co workers any day!! AND if people ask about a foot question I will always refer. This is not about the performance or knowledge of the physicians, this is an office manager issue, that is where the problem lies, which is the reason I gave it only 2 stars.

I went in for lateral foot pain and plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I was taken for x-rays prior to seeing the doctor. Dr. Williamson was nice but did absolutely no physical exam. He looked at my x-rays, informed me that I had tight calves, and would need custom orthotics. At no time during the 10-15 minute appointment did he assess my gait and station or do any range of motion testing. I spent more time filling out the paperwork, which he didn't even bother to look at. I was highly disappointed! I've had more of an "exam" at The Running Company when buying new walking shoes. I will never return to this office.

Dr. Vest was great, A++. After surgery I was fitted for Orthotics and that experience was not very good. They don't fit my boots or shoes and cannot wear them. I won't go back because of the Orthotic experience. Decided to lower my review to one star. I still experience pain in my left foot, most likely as a result of needing orthodics. Unfortunately I was conned into purchasing orthodics that we're too large for my shoes and never fitted to them. My insurance company paid for them but I was unable to use them. This was about getting money, not about treating me or providing me with a product. I cannot recommend this place. Office staff was extremely disorganized, orthodics doctor is working a scam, insurance companies should be warned. Dr. Vest was great however, so I recommend him, but that is where I draw the line.
