They’re telling me that I lied about telling them I was moving out in a voicemail, the same voicemail that I announced to them that the air conditioning didn’t work. They sent their handyman without telling me. He not only entered my apartment without consent but he turned the thermostat on, without telling us, but mostly HE LEFT OUR FRONT DOOR UNLOCKED AND RIS COULD NOT CARE LESS. Don’t get me started on the laundry situation or the part where they told me I could move into the apartment and on moving day told me that there was still someone living in the apartment. It took two weeks, and they had already taken my $845 deposit.
Oh and now they’re trying to charge me for a months rent because I didn’t fill out a “written report” about leaving but wouldn’t it have been nice to have your building manager/someone who knows the protocol let you know when you said you were leaving? Nah, they’re just going to say that they never heard of you moving out, but they heard the air conditioning complaint.

My girlfriend was interested in looking for a house. This Stephanie gal that works there you could tell she didn't care for our business. I had my friend ask about the same property and her response was completely different! Even told them when to check for new listings and my girlfriend she didn't simply said "sorry it's been rented out" I'm hoping the last names didn't play a role in this... But we are definitely going to look into it.
I love living at my apartment and RIS has done a great job. My manager is super nice and she always calls back within a reasonable amount of time. I am very happy with their staff and only been living here a few months. I wanted to write this review as people seem to have one bad experience or don't get their way and to them, the company is awful. Many of my neighbors have also said great things. With that said, so far I really have enjoyed my apartment and management thus far.

I have been tenant of RIS since June. Things have gone OK so far, maybe because I did not need anything or ask anything from them. Just pay the rent every month my only touch with them. However I noticed one thing since the beginning and I told them: when I moved in the door remained with its old lock; how old not sure but it had changed color or discolor from age. I asked them whether you would put a new lock in there they told me they do not but if you want we do it on your own expense. I was surprised not because safety and security requires the replacement of old locks every time there is a new tenant but also the lock was to old to be kept. Well, one freezing morning, today, it happened: when I tried to lock the door leaving for work, it broke like never before. What to do this morning? if I leave someone may intrude into my apartment and steal what I have in there. If not I miss my the day of work. I worked a part time that day. Later they came and fixed it.
I wish people were as eager to share positive news as they are negative...if so, the 5 star ratings would FAR out-number the lesser ones. I have never had an issue with this company or anyone who has worked for them over the years I've rented. There have been very few concerns and all of them were addressed pleasantly and in a timely fashion. I've also referred several friends who have all had the same great experience with the owner, management, and staff...we would highly recommend their properties!
