I've purchased a good majority of my furniture from slumberland over the last 10 years or so. Salesmen are on you like hawks when you walk in the door. Which I understand, they make commission, but other than the slightly annoyance of feeling like a fish in a fish bowl the furniture has always held up extremely well for me. I've never been disappointed with a purchase from slumberland.
If you need a mattress and you speak to a guy with a thick accent, you are in great hands! I'm horrible with remembering names but you'll know right away if you got the right guy!
If you are considering new furniture, this is a good place to look.
Nice shopping experience. I don't usually shop retail except for certain things (like mattresses) so I can't say if they are over priced or not.
