Old Chicago has DELICIOUS pizza! However, this specific location has very poor service. On three different occasions we have stood for over 40 minutes waiting to be seated while half of the tables were empty, and then after being seated it took a very long time to be waited on. A few times we had to search for someone to get us a refill or bring our ticket. As much as we love this pizza, the service has ruined our experience.
Not sure what all the hype is about this place. Went there and tried the pizza...my wife and I both thought it was below average....and pricey. Service was good, though.
Good food. Lots of beer. The patio is dog friendly.
Edit to previous review: no longer dog friendly? Hostess turned us away. I think she didn't actually know so she said no. Oh well. Famous Dave's has a dog friendly patio just down the parking lot.
After being seated, it took 20 mins for waitress to come to table to take our drink orders. So we ordered our appetizer and meal at same time since things were going very slow. After another 15 mins we get our drinks. 30 mins later our meal came out before our appetizer. Point of the appetizer is to eat it before the meal. I said something and manager or cook person came to speak with us. He apologized and took the appetizer off the bill. I don't know his name but I was very pleased at his swiftness in trying to make things right. Waitress was not rude, just either unattentive or understaffed. Not sure which one. Just frustrating when it takes over 30 mins just to get some tea. We also had no silverware until we received our meal and the guy from the back brought us some.
Went here Saturday evening with some friends. There was 6 of us, so we understood that the wait may take a little longer. We were ok with that. We deiced to wait outside since the weather was cool and comfortable. As we waited, we saw a table sitting dirty for over 20 minutes. My son had to use the restroom, so I took him in. There was a clean table towards the back that had 6 chairs. I had thought perhaps that was our table, so after my son was done, I figured we would be seated. We continued to wait another 5 minutes before my friend walked in and asked how much longer the wait was going to be. There was only 1 other couple ahead of us that was also waiting a long time. The hostess seemed frazzled and told us that the table was just cleaned and she was just about to page us. We were the lead back to a booth in the very back. I understand that tables are rotated for tips, but when you have kids with you, and your option is between a booth and a table, the table is much easier. The waiter was had was fantastic! He was fun, he laughed along with us, seemed like he had everything under control. The food came quickly once we were sat, and it was delicious. The waiter seriously saved the entire experience. There was a lady waiting the table behind us, and she accidently dropped a whole pizza, which further led to the thought that perhaps they were understaffed.
