Great place to go and grab a drink. The dance floor is almost always full and without a doubt always a good time. I mean there are at least four separate bars within Barry's. Highly recommended.
Great place for all ages. Good food and staff. Close to Haymarket, memorial stadium, and downtown.
If you're coming for food and seating, you'll most likely be disappointed with service but they have great events and I love the rooftop deck.
I left walking in the rain without my jacket, because someone stole it off of the cheap rack they have placed in a dark corner near the busy and loud dance floor. Poor design and poor execution from a business. I would expect more from a bar in the Haymarket, especially one that charges well for average drinks. I'm not surprised that this same bar has recently been under scrutiny for multiple liquor license violations. Also, they have VIOLATED HEALTH CODE by having the SEWAGE DRAINS BACKUP onto the dance floor and in both the Men's and Women's bathrooms. Disgusting, I DO NOT RECOMMEND. This place has lowered the bar (pun intended) among every food/drink establishment in Lincoln. They deserve to be shut down.
The 'security' at Barry's is quite pathetic. They kicked my friend out for simply asking why another member of our party was kicked out, meanwhile blatantly laughing at creepy comments made to her and our other female friends. They are there to ensure the safety of patrons but I did not feel particularly safe when a man said out loud he would 'follow me home' and security did nothing but laugh. I understand it seems like a joke but to a woman it is extremely threatening and it is not okay to condone this behavior. I hope that all of the security at Barry's takes this seriously and takes measures to stand up to comments like this and be concerned with what is important when kicking somebody out of a bar.
