I got a beautiful baby beagle here. She was having issues with an upper respiratory infection after i got her home, and a vet had prescribed her some antibiotics that were ineffective. I called another veterinarian when she wasn't improving and was told that i would have to spend hundreds of dollars on tests or they could just "put her down" if i was unable to pay up front. I called the Pet Doctor, brokenhearted, and asked them what i should do. They were incredibly compassionate and decided to bring her back to see their vet free of charge and board her there until she got better. They had no obligation to do so but they chose to save her life when everyone else just wanted to cushion their wallet. I'm not sure how this place gets negative feedback the way they do. If not for them, this ten week old little girl would be killed instead of treated with some basic emergency antibiotics so she can live a happy life. I'll be grateful every day i have her.
I bought a beagle from here, he had kennel cough when I brought him home. I took the vet bill back to the pet doctor and they reimbursed me for his medications which was good. We were able to negotiate the price down $100 which was nice. A lot of people say they carry puppy mill puppies but I ran into a lady who used to work there but doesn't anymore and she said they don't buy from puppy mills. So I don't really know what is true. Im happy with my beagle, but would probably go through a breeder next time.
I took home my girl, a purebred papillon, 7 years ago on October 31st. She was the best thing to have ever happened to me. I had gone to this store with a friend who was looking to adopt and we both ended up walking out with new babies. I just lost my little girl a few days ago in a freak accident and my heart is shattered. She was my best friend and companion in all things. She had the biggest personality and to think, our relationship would have never been possible had I not walked through those doors. So, I can't attest to the pet doctors current state of things, but my little girl was the healthiest and happiest little thing I ever did see. Thank you per doctor for giving me the chance to love and be loved in a way I didn't know was possible.
This happened in the middle of 2016.
My daughter and I would come like once a month, pet puppies, and make our donation/contribution for doing so. This was like our 6th time coming and after arriving we're looking at the doggies in their cages to pick one out to pet, when I overhear a worker telling a customer that she can't pet the puppies anymore unless she's looking to buy them. The worker went on to say they that the doggies had been overplayed and that if the lady was willing to buy a dog she'd let her pet more. Otherwise she had already gotten her one animal to pet for the day. So then after 3 minutes, I went to the worker and nicely with a smile said, "Hello, I'd like to have my one animal to pet please" and she said "No, they aren't available for petting anymore, they've been overplayed". I said, "All of them have?" I said this because there were like 20 puppies altogether. So the worker refused us from petting and I was upset because we had always contributed although it was optional. I've never gone back. The workers there are normally grumpy or have a long face anyways. Plus they aren't really customer service orientated. You need to go to them, they won't come to you most of the time.
Very welcoming and happy place! My aunt takes my cousins and I here to play with the puppies every once in a while and a good friend of mine got their dog here a few years ago
