I told the girl doing my pedicure three times I wanted the basic pedicure and she confirmed twice with me she understood. Halfway through another woman from the group that walked in after us asked what I was getting and I told her the basic pedicure. The woman doing my pedicure piped up and said "well I've been doing the deluxe pedicure not the basic" in a snotty tone and I once again confirmed that I only wanted the basic one. Her and Judy spoke back and forth regarding the matter and I only assume came to the conclusion that this gal was in the wrong and decided not to charge me the deluxe price. That was nice.
The same girl did my manicure and I made sure that she understood I only wanted the basic manicure this time and even conformed with Judy the basic mani. The woman still asked me if I was getting the deluxe or not. It was a terrible manicure. Super rushed and very sloppy. Every single nail is a different shape (I asked for a rounded shape) and some are even pointy enough that I had to file them down myself when I got home.
My family and I have been going to Judy's for years. We started going when he store was off of Holdredge and 27th. We have always loved going to Judy, but today was the last time I will ever set foot in her place of business.
I will never again return here.
I could have over looked all of this because I understand people have bad days, and I wasn't going to be rude about it (nor was I rude, they did charge me the basic price after all for my pedi) but the icing on the cake was when my mother asked Judy to wax her eyebrows. Judy did the waxing herself and used one stick for the wax the entire time. Not once did she get another clean stick to get wax from the extremely dirty wax pot. Double, triple, quadruple, etc dipping is extremely unhygienic. You never know whose face gunk is going to be in there. It's plain disgusting. I tried to tell my mom to leave right then and there but she didn't want to listen. I hope she doesn't get something from that disgusting wax pot.
Judys and her husband are very kind, staff is very welcoming when u enter the store. I'm a regular and have yet to be disappointed by there work and service
I️ needed to schedule an appointment for two full set nails so I️ called Judy’s for an appointment at 1 with her telling me it would take 30 minutes. We ended up waiting 20 minutes and when I️ said something like, “what’s the point of making an appointment” she was unbelievably rude to me! Her prices for pink & whites is high and when I️ changed my mind and said gel she said $40 even thought the price list said “20 and up”. I️ smirked when she said that so she refused to serve my friend and I️. Ha. Like ok? I’ll take my money elsewhere, it’s no problem. I️ used to go to all her nail places but she’s changed for the worse.
Very disappointed with my service. I went in to get a full set 4 days ago and two of them came off today. I had to change my polish the day that I went in because they had smudged the polish that I had them apply. I went in to see if they could fix them and I was yelled at and humiliated in front of the customers there. I was accused of not getting my nails done there due to the fact that I changed my nail color. The thing that is most disappointing is the fact that o have been a frequent customer there. I will never be coming to Judys again and feel that there is no excuse for accusing a customer and yelling at them the way I was yelled at today. Very, very upset.
My mother and I walked in for mani/pedis and there were only 2 other customers in the store. We waited well over 15 minutes to even get our water tubs turned on and then when they did get turned on we sat there for another 15 minutes when another walk-in group walked in and started being helped right away.
The first time I got my nails done here was with my girlfriend and friend. An older woman did my nails and seemed to have a lot of fun making a design. It was really cool! My girlfriend and friend were a little jealous because I got such a great design with a lot of gems. So I decided to bring my mother here and I get a different girl who clearly hates her job. When I asked for a design (usually they ask you but she didn't) she seemed Very annoyed when she replied "What do you want?" I told her that I'd let her use her creative judgement, something fun. She did a very basic design that I probably could have done better and said "There." I asked if I could have a few gems to sparkle. She said "No, those just fall off." I was shocked by her answer and said that I actually manage to keep mine on a long time and I would still like them please. She rolled her eyes and then proceeded to ask Me where she should put them...I literally had to point out where each one should go. The places she was going to put them made no sense and it was as if she was doing that on purpose. She seemed highly annoyed to be doing her job. It was this attitude and the fact that the owner was right there, heard and saw all of this and said or did nothing that has left a bad taste in my mouth so I won't be returning. The owner should know that 1 employee's actions and attitude can lose a customer.
