First thing I noticed coming in that the place was dirty! Anyways I ordered my usual Thai salad and chipotle melt sandwich. Sandwich was fine, but when I started eating the salad I noticed it had bacon in it. I don’t eat pork for religious reasons and The order should NOT have bacon in the first place! Anyways I told them and they were nice enough to give me a new one. But still their kindness this time didn’t make up for the state of the place.
Last time I went I ordered a Mediterranean veggie and a latte. It took more than 20 minutes to make the sandwich. Then I had to remind them of the latte for them to make it. I took my order and when I opened the bag, the sandwich was simply wrapped in paper with with no box, and it had fallen apart before I opened. I opened the wrapper to find a mix of veggies and crumbling bread. Also it smelled terrible.
This was my first time ever eating at Panera. The food was good, but the ordering experience is what put me off. I could either wait in line behind 10 people, or use 1 of 6 ordering kiosks. The kiosk menu was so convoluted it was frustrating to try and order anything. After my fiance finished her order in about 5 minutes, I tried. Everything I wanted to order was out of stock! This wasn't late night, this was 6 pm dinner rush. We got back in line behind 15 people now, some of whom also failed at using the kiosk. I got exactly what I wanted, so I don't know what was out.
This chain (both Panera stores in Lincoln) is getting old and not maintaining their properties very well. Unkempt, dirty, doesn't appear that they clean from morning until close. You must pick up after yourself and they still ask for tips when you order the food. It's unfortunate, because the food and baked goods are quite delicious. If you appreciate a clean tidy place, go elsewhere. If you can ignore it, you'll be fine.
Panera management should really look into bringing this branch up to par
I stopped going after that for a month or so but decided to give it another chance today.
I went back and told them the sandwich was bad and I would like to order a new one, and they said okay and made me pay for a new order. Which also took 10 minutes.
I love Panera Bread; it’s usually one of my favorite spots to eat. But this branch is really terrible! I used to go there during my lunch hour since it’s close to my work, but I won’t anymore.
I'm not sure why I keep forgetting how expensive this place is with regards to their pick two options. I usually get the steak sandwich with some soup and a drink.. It's ridiculous that this cost almost 14.00$$!!!??!!!! R u fking kidding me??!!!! It's absurd. The food quality is so so. The sandwich used to be tasty but now they added horseradish to it. .puke!!! The bakery items are good and drinks are good too, but the amount of food you really get for the ,$ and the quality is nah thanks.
It's a really good place for breakfast. Their coffee options are good. It's kind of behind a good mall, so it is usually busy. Saturday mornings are the busiest. I recommend going early Sunday. Dinner options are limited. Overall a good place with great coffee and bakery items.
